Skincare products

Let’s be honest. Many of us tend to sink into habits with our skincare. We bought a product once that seemed to work well and have continued to purchase the same product, over and over, when each bottle ended. Some ladies in their mid to late 20s are still using the acne wash they were using during their teenage years. Many ladies, and guys, also neglect to switch up their skincare depending on the season. If you have been noticing that your skin doesn’t look as amazing as you expect than it might be time for a change! If any of the below apply to you, than you should read on….

  • Your skin is begining to look dull and older.
  • Your products simply stop working on your skin.
  • You need to wear a lot of makeup.
  • You’re overwhelmed by all the skin care and makeup selections available.
  • You want your skin to look at least 10 years younger.

If you don’t like the way your skin looks or feels, you really need to think about getting a skin care makeover. But, if you’re not sure where to start off with one that’s effective as well as simple, start off with the basics. Add on to your routine once you have the basics in place. Here are some of the basic and advanced skin care solutions that can help you get that perfect skin makeover.

Basic Solutions for a  Skincare Makeover

Whether you’re struggling with your complexion or the fact that your skin has finally begun to show the signs of aging, adding some important aspects to your everyday routine can help you do wonders to your skin.

  • Cleansing. Make sure that you wash your face with a gentle cleanser every morning and every night. This helps you to remove impurities from your skin and make it softer and healthier.
  • Toning. Most people end up skipping toning, but it is actually an extremely important step in your skin care routine. Toning helps you to remove impurities and also allows you to rebalance the pH levels of your skin. This further allows your skin to absorb moisturizers better and boost your protection against the free radicals present in the environment.
  • Moisturizing. Moisturizing helps you to maintain the moisture content of your skin and keep it hydrated. It also forms a protective barrier which prevents dirt and germs from entering your pores and atmospheric elements from damaging your skin. You need to apply a moisturizer that offers sun protection in the morning and another moisturizer that locks in the moisture content at night.
  • Sunscreens. Applying sunscreens that offer you with an SPF of 30 on a daily basis is extremely important. This helps you to protect your skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun. Remember to re-apply the moisturizer for every two hours spent outdoors.

Advanced solutions for a Skincare Makeover

Once you master these basics, you can go about adding more advanced steps to your skin care routines.

  • Night Creams. Night creams help you to repair and rejuvenate your skin. They are ideal solutions to keep your skin hydrated, prevent breakouts and soften your skin.
  • Anti-aging Creams. Anti-aging creams help you to deal with those fine lines and wrinkles. These creams prevent the arrival of your signs of aging and remove those that have already appeared.
  • Exfoliators. Exfoliators are vital to ensure long lasting and glowing beauty. Using exfoliators 2 – 4 times a week (depending on your type of skin). Make sure that you use exfoliators that reduce blackheads and acne.

Bird's Eye View of City at Night

City life can be extremely exciting – after all the fast paced action, the countless things to do, the excitement and the everyday chaos is impossible to replicate. However, living in the city does have its own problems as well. You might think of a number of issues related to city life, but have you ever thought of how city life affects your skin?  Haven’t you found that you have puffy eyes and dull looking skin after that stressful day at work? Well, that’s just one of the side effects of city life. Living in the city is likely to subject you to a number of problems that can affect your skin – problems such as dirt, stress, pollution, etc. This can lead to dry patches, sensitive skin, blemishes, premature aging and redness. Here are some of the major factors that you need to look out for.

Biological Clocks Tick Faster

According to a study, birds living in the city have a faster reproductive clock than those living in the country. One of the main reasons for this problem is light pollution. Even the tiniest amount of light can reduce the Melatonin body, an extremely important antioxidant in the human body. The reduction in Melatonin leads to an increase in free radicals which in turn makes one age faster. The fact that LED screens make the body go off-sync has already been proven. However, how the tiny lights seeping in through those blinds affects your skin and your health is still a relatively new concept.

Lack of Sleep

City life can take a toll on your sleep, even if you’re not into late night parties. The daily stress and higher coffee intake along with the occasional late nights all impact your sleeping patterns. The human body produces growth hormones at night which helps it to repair and renew the cells. The body also produces collagen and keratin when it is asleep. Both of these compounds are extremely important to give the body a firm and youthful look.

The City Water

The water found in the cities can lead to a number of skin issues. Most cities have “hard” water. This implies that the water found in the cities has high levels of mineral salts such as magnesium and calcium. These salts can reduce the moisture levels of your skin and increase the likeliness of skin issues such as eczema and psoriasis.

The Excessive Stress

Living in the city is extremely hectic and stressful. Whether it’s the traffic, your work or just life itself – everything is always fast paced and stressful. When you become stressed, your body begins to produce higher amounts of a hormone named cortisol. Cortisol can end up throwing your entire body out of balance and make your skin begin to look dull and tired. Moreover, the skin also becomes prone to damage and also becomes prone to premature aging.

The High Pollution Levels

The air pollution levels in the city are always known to be much higher. Pollution can lead to a number of skin care issues because of the free radicals that it contains. Some of the most common problems associated with pollution include premature aging, loss of elasticity, redness, skin imbalance, reduction in moisture level and irritation.

The Fluctuating Temperature

City life also means extreme temperatures – the direct blast of central heating systems in the winters and air conditioners in the summers. Both are known to attack your immune system and dry out your skin.

Beauty expert and style writer Lindsay Thurston shared some common summer beauty blunders, as well as how to fix them or prevent them from happening in the first place.

Members of the audience were sent home with Lindsay Thurston’s favorite cosmetic products. Included was the 24K Bio-Brightening Skin Tone Moisturizer from Oro Gold Cosmetics.

Lindsay Thurston explained the Bio Brightening product from Oro Gold is “a facial moisturizer. You can also use it on your neck or your chest. It is great for the sunshine because it’s an SPF 30 so it will definitely protect you from the sun. But the great thing about this one is it is packed with Vitamin A and E, so obviously great for skin tone, but it also has 24 Karat gold in it. The Gold has anti-aging effects and it can actually minimize the appearance of age spots, sun spots, freckles, and general discoloration on your skin… Sometimes the splurge in the summer is worth it. And this particular one would be the way to go.”

Your skin is the largest organ in your body. It protects all of your other organs from damage and daily wear. It is what other people see when they look at you, so taking care of your skin is essential for looking and feeling your best. One of the simplest ways to keep your skin clean and healthy is to exfoliate. Many people, however, do not know how to exfoliate the correct way. They end up causing unnecessary damage to the skin. Oro Gold helps you properly exfoliate your skin so that it looks its best. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells and dirt from the surface of the skin. It leaves skin looking bright and new. There are several different ways to exfoliate your skin, and countless different products that you can use to make your skin clean and healthy. Oro Gold Cosmetics have many cleansers such as the 24K 2-Step Cleansing Kit to help you get the beautiful skin that you have always wanted. Oro Gold reviews can help you find the product that is right for you.

The first way to exfoliate your skin is to massage a small amount of body scrub into your skin before you bathe or shower. Use a circular motion to gently apply the scrub. Start at your ankles and work your way up your body. Using a luffa or exfoliating gloves will give you the best results. After you have massaged the body scrub into your skin it is time to rinse it off. Then apply a body lotion such as 24K Intense Moisture Cream from Oro Gold.

Another method for exfoliating your skin is to apply body wash to a luffa while in the shower. Rub the body wash or scrub all over your skin and then rinse with warm water. Be gentle and careful not to inadvertently damage the skin when you use this method. After you have rinsed the body scrub from your skin, dry off by patting with a soft towel. Patting reduces the damage that can be done to your recently exfoliated skin. Apply lotion to lock in moisture.

Some people like to be as natural as possible, and there is a natural way to exfoliate your skin. All you need is a cup of sand and some water. Rub the sand all over your body, and then rinse with warm water. The roughness of the sand removes dead skin cells and exfoliates your skin. Make sure that you are gentle, however, because the sand can cause tiny tears and cuts if you are too rough. You can repair the damage however, while exfoliating your skin with an Orogold store-bought 24k Golden Body Scrub.

There are many different ways to exfoliate, and the way that you choose is entirely up to you. One thing is for sure, though, and that is that your skin will look smoother, brighter, and healthier when you exfoliate regularly. Oro Gold helps you properly exfoliate your skin so that it looks that best that it can. You will be amazed at the results when you exfoliate.
